    WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.714249 - Apr 18, 2025

Following the recent firmware update for the WiiM Ultra, I noticed the new feature where audio via the TV’s eARC is only active when the device input is set to “TV.” However, I’m encountering an issue: When I switch the input from “TV” back to “Ethernet” (in order to stream music from the...

Issue with Distortion at Very Low Volume When Using WiiM Ultra with External DAC

the answer is yes. in CD resolution while the volume is controlled by the WiiM into level 1, while you are connected to an external DAC (doesnt matters how (USB,Toslink, Coax)) the issue is audible. but as I said before, I just bought a pre-amp and currently set the WiiM to fixed volume, and...

Issue with Distortion at Very Low Volume When Using WiiM Ultra with External DAC

It sounds strange! Because the WiiM provides a bit-perfect sound when you don’t touch the EQ and the volume is set to a fixed (100%) level. Therefore, there’s no reason for any change (in terms of sound quality or volume) between these streamers…

Issue with Distortion at Very Low Volume When Using WiiM Ultra with External DAC

Yeah, the issue accurs at 1 on the volume. Yeah, the issue occurs at 1 on the volume. However, I recently purchased a preamplifier and set the WiiM to 100% volume (which has resolved the distortion issue). I prefer to control the preamplifier rather than the WiiM volume itself for this issue.

Please Please!! add a power button to the WiiM Home App (Like the red button in the physical remote control)

Yeah, it’s really annoying. I want to control the automation standby myself whenever I want to turn off all my equipment. Currently, the automation standby is set for 30 minutes. I found this to be the most convenient time for me.

Please Please!! add a power button to the WiiM Home App (Like the red button in the physical remote control)

That’s all for you :) However, you need to understand that the standby option also controls the trigger, and it will turn off all of your connected equipment as well.

Please Please!! add a power button to the WiiM Home App (Like the red button in the physical remote control)

I would like to request the addition of a power button in the app interface, similar to the red power button available on the physical remote control. This feature would provide a convenient way to turn the device on or off directly from the app, enhancing usability and user experience for those...

Issue with Distortion at Very Low Volume When Using WiiM Ultra with External DAC

I have an Audiophonics AP300-S500NC power amplifier, and I’ve resolved the issue by setting the WiiM to a fixed volume of 100% and using my DAC as the controller. This way, the sound isn’t distorted anymore in very low signal levels, but I’ve lost the enjoyment of controlling my system using the...
