I'm using my Pro just to boost the audio from my TV optical output, which has been always lower than other sources. Works great.

Pangea Audio makes thier cable with a small plug that doesn't block the USB port. Not sure if they make one with that style wall plug however.

I asked because I have a Marantz AV receiver in another system that has Heos, and I was curious to compare them in the same system using the dac in the Ultra. The Marantz has no digital out, so I had to use the analog outs. I had a Marantz 30n in the main system before I got my first Wiim Pro...

Does the line in analog gets converted to digital and back to analog , or it just goes straight through as analog?

The only thing thats clear, is that you can't hear the difference.

SACD is DSD, proprietary to Sony, Marantz, Denon. The Wiim can't decode it. You would have to use the analog output from the player, into the Wiim analog input.

If Wiim would just upgrade the BT to LDAC, all this would be unnecessary and simple. At least for the Android users.

Try another cable, I think the Ultra has to see the connection first. So maybe the cable is bad.

What is the default setting in the Ultra?

Yes the cheap cord is where WiiM saved cost. It is the weak link, everything matters.

This Pangea Audio C7 power cord fit perfectly without interfering with the inputs. I got this one as an open box for $40 from Audio Advisor.
