I tried it with the free demo file and there is no pop noise. So the problem are the files then.
I guess I'll have to set the crossfade in the LMS settings to 1 second to not have a sound. That's the workaround for now.
I noticed when trying different line out levels the clipping noise is more quiet but I have to crank my amp up way too much.
I also tried fade in and out on/off an also coax with different latency switch options. Maybe WiiM needs to look into that but I don't know if dsd support or bypass is on...
When playing .dsf files from my plex server, there is a clipping noise between the end of one and beginning of the other track. I use the line out with fixed volume.
Could the PCM conversion of the dsd codec be the fault or maybe a setting?
Some of the albums are:
Magic, Alive by McKinley Dixon
GOLLIWOG by Billy Woods
Fairyland Codex by Tropical F*ck Storm
Florilegium by Uwade
Hope this helps!
Really love the lyrics support! Can you tell us which resource is used to fetch them? I tried a few newer albums where there couldn't be found any.
Also maybe the playback screen should switch to the normal display where everything is centered when there are no lyrics found.
The new Qobuz layout looks great but in the albums section not all albums are displayed. For example the earliest album by David Bowie is the Labyrinth soundtrack which is from 1986 and Frank Zappa also only goes to 1983.
Okay I open the Album Art URI and I get a high risk and security warning right away. I proceeded and the cover comes up. I then opened the now playing screen again and suddenly the cover is there.
Maybe you have to verify that you want to open the unsecure connection once and then the browser...
As far as I know you don't have to be a Beta tester to use the feature. I think it's just in the beta stage and accessible to everyone.
Thanks! Will try that after work. But it's gonna be a rough ride to implement it into my code since I don't really have any coding skills. 😅
