RCA if you are using the WiiM Dac, Digital or Coax if you are using an external DAC. If you use Digital or Coax without an external DAC, it will use the Denon DAC, which is trash IMO

You will need to be sure that the input you plug into is assigned in the settings, or you will get no sound.

Are you suppose to hear a sound when doing RC, I got nothing. ipad, sound is working for video and music.

I went with the Pro Plus because the DAC is better then the Pro

You will need to assign the input in setting, once that is done you are good. The WiiM Pro has a better DAC in it then the Denon. Denon is fine for Film audio, not so much for music imho. I am running the Pro Plus via RCA and works great, just make sure you assign it or you will have no sound.

What brand AVR? If you want to use the WiiM Pro DAC use RCA.

Just leave the WiiM on, it takes hardly any power in stand by. Quit making your own head hurt.

Roon Certified, not Roon ready until it shows up in audio devices in Roon. I would not be a happy camper if I had bought this and it did not show in Roon.
