In my case the subnet mask was the same all rhe time for Wiim and NAS, so for me that didn't matter at all.
As I said before It was caused by the subnet created in the local IP adress no in the subnet mask.
I didn't mean subnet mask, but a subnet other than the one in your local IP DHCP range like it was apparently in your case lets say 192.168.128.xxx. vs 192.168.129.xxx

My Nas is connected directly (due to Plex remote Direct play) to my router and my wifi was in a mesh network(a couple Xiaomi Ax300) at home.

I already can browse my Plex server using WHA. Would be very interesting to use Plexamp and our wiims as endpoint (UPnP I suppose), as it can be done via Chromecast
