I’ve done the repairing and still the same but I don’t want to have to unpair with my phone each time. Appears the WH-1000XM3 headphones try to pair with the last connected device (?) but even so, pairing with amp, disconnect, turn headphones back on doesn’t result in auto connect. (The phone...
Definitely not. This is WiiM Amp, not Pro right? You have to click the pair option in the list of audio output devices. That takes me to a list of paired devices where my headphones are listed as “Not connected”. Then I click on that entry and it then connects (I don’t have to put the headphones...
I’ve been listening using TV -> WiiM Amp -> Headphones a lot recently (no Bluetooth on TV) but every time I have to use the app on my phone - often in the other room - to switch the output to Bluetooth. I can’t see any option to make connecting via Bluetooth the default if my headphones are...
I use it every day as the hdmi output from our TV. Only time I use the app is when I need to switch to input from the turntable. Would use the auto detect line in but that seems flakey and switches over even when turntable not switched on (unless they’ve since fixed that?)
Our front room is very small (typical Victorian semi detached size). I’ve moved our 3010is from stands to the bookshelf above TV. Inserted the foam plugs into the rear. Can’t really tell the difference, slightly more bass maybe. Used HouseCurve to compare the graphs (which may be better than my...
Slightly offtopic but there appears to be a problem with the sensitivity. If I have the auto-detect thing turned on for line-in then sometimes even with the turntable turned off it will switch away from HDMI to line-in. So I only turn that on when I use the turntable.
Oh wait, didn’t realise the iPhone has 3 mics and the default for HouseCurve was the bottom one. Just switched to the front one and the treble peak disappeared.
I realised that I’d had the phone vertical but facing me when I did the tests. Just tried again with phone vertical and facing away and also horizontal - exactly the same curve as above.
I did play around with it last week using the built in mic on both my iPhone and iPad but kept getting odd results - a peak in the treble with both my 3030i and wharfedale diamond 9.1. No equaliser set.
I have roughly 3 metres of cable carrying line out from turntable to amp. After reading people talking about shielding and so on I bought some good quality thick RCA audio cable to replace the rather thin headphone style cable I had been using. Roped my son in with his younger ears to help judge...
I've got a pair of new Q Acoustics 3010i, no subwoofer. On 40cm high stands in a small lounge without the foam plugs in the back. I'm in my mid-sixties so hearing not the best. To me they sound quite harsh, definitely not as warm and bassy as the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s in our main room. Am...
I reported extreme heat as in almost too hot to touch. But:
the Amp was inside a cabinet
it was not going into standby at the time so this was after being on for hours in an enclosed space
Since placing it outside the cabinet I've had no problems with it getting hot.
On the other hand:
it...
