I don't have the amp. I have the Pro (streamer). So a USB hub is useless. But my real point was to remain competitive with Bluesound a rethink on the ProPlus streamer might be in order.

Maybe WiiM will answer the Bluesound Nano by adding USB in to the next Pro Plus. The ability to attach a SSD drive would get me to upgrade to one.

A USB in on the next Pro Plus would get me to upgrade my Pro and be a good answer to the new Bluesound Node Nano. I'd like the ability to hang a SSD drive off it.

It seems a lot of us would like a higher spec, metal cased unit without a screen that had some different options for configuration. I know I would. Along the lines of how a MacBook can be configured. I'd like BNC, AES/EBU, HDMI ARC & I2S inputs / outputs. I prefer AKM chips, others ESS and still...

I wonder why WiiM moved from an AKM to a ESS chip. I'm not getting an Ultra (happy with my Pro into a Naim DAC) but I am happy to see WiiM doing well and introducing new products. Hope Munich is good to them!

Yes 5V. And make sure you get the iPower2 (not the original). It's better.

Look for a used ifi iPower2, you should be able to find one for $35. If you don't think it makes any improvement flog it on US Audio Mart for what you paid. You'll be out very little and the issue will be settled. But keep in mind that a budget system that is not very revealing won't show any...

A great sounding CD transport (without DAC) with above average connectivity (I2S, AES & BNC) that is NOT slot loading.

I suspect the Ultra will be in the same case as the Amp. It probably won't have a bay for M.2 SSD storage but I sure wish it would. That would be a feature that would get me to upgrade my Pro. A much tidier option than hanging a drive off the back.

PS Audio & Denafrips users along with both companies, say that I2S sounds better.

I hope the upcoming Ultra has enough improvements that someone like myself, that already owns a WiiM Pro and an excellent external DAC sees enough of an upside to buy one. I've been considering an Eversolo DMP-A8 but will wait to see what the Ultra has going for it. I'm hoping for onboard SSD...
