I have only seen Yamaha's high-end A-S series amplifiers in person once. Their build quality is truly remarkable. In a hobby like this, not only the sound but also the beauty of an object offers greater listening pleasure. Furthermore, Yamaha amplifiers are known for having high-level performance.
I have the same identical setup (Sabaj A30a + Wiim Ultra, coax connection) and I'm really happy with them. Sooner or later I will buy another amplifier (Yamaha A-S2200???) but I already know that it won't be an upgrade both in terms of intrumental measurements and sound experience.
Thanks for your reply. I've seen you had the Elac BS403.2 in your system than replaced by the BS404.2. I have the BS403 and I'm pretty happy with them. Sometimes I switch on a Martin Logan subwoofer Dynamo 700W to have a fuller bass. How do your BS404.2 compare to the Elac BS403.2? Is the...
I love Amir's reviews, but he is very minimalistic and sticks mostly to measurements without considering the user's experience and the various options the device offers. In particular, I am shocked by the fact that when he reviews speakers the listening test is carried out using only one!!!
No, this is not a DVT samples but a final unit purchased from a local italian retailer on August 16 2024. I received an email from support@wiimhome.com saying "From your description, your WiiM Ultra may be defective" and indicating to "get in touch with the retailer/dealer directly for a...
Yes, I sent a feedback ticket through the WiiM Home App? What is a "DVT sample"? In the short video attached to my msg I was playing music from Tidal. Same problem with Amazon Music Unlimited, Deezer or internet radios.
During playback (from any source) my screen flashes every second between two different display options (see attached video). A couple of firmware updates ago this problem did not occur.
Also, even if I turn off the display from the Display Settings in the Android app, it turns back on. Not to...
Very likely. I do not use iPhones or iPads, however I anticipate that the lack of Airport could be a deal breaker for several potential buyers (many families have at least an Airplay user).
If Wiim dropped Airplay support for sure is due to a decision/pressure made by Apple. The only fault on Wiim side is to have announced it in the early stage of the Wiim Ultra project. I guess that right now Apple and Wiim are negotiating but nobody knows if or when a new Wiim device with airplay...
I guess that EU users (with 220-240 Volts) something like this should also work: https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/diy-kits-and-boards/audiophonics-trigger-12v-230v-slave-power-supply-device-p-10661.html
