I have used the feedback function to send a message asking them to reinstate product interoperability. WiiM is expanding their product range but they don't cover the whole spectrum.

I did and got this in reply, this morning: Hi thanks for your question. They have squeezelite in the firmware so Lyrion will work.

Well, not the best way to introduce a product, surrounding it with confusion.

It's rather confusing. On Audio Pro pages they say that their Android app is coming soon. Could those be controlled by the regular WiiM app? I fail to understand why European customers have to live with such confusion (with the previous generation unavailable for us).

Bought an adapter, connected the Umik. The app saw the microphone with no need to confirm anything (it says what microphone is in use). Hats off to WiiM from a happy Lyrion Music Server user.

Good to know. You then connect to an Android smartphone or an iOS one? Just out of curiosity and to further reinforce the message that it can be used that way.

I have an iPad Pro 2nd generation and a Galaxy S23+. What would be the quickest way for me to connect a Umik-1 to one of these two devices? iPad has just lightning connector, Umik a USB mini to USB A. Are there USB mini to USB C cables that work for this purpose?
