Wow the funny thing with that test is
If i set wiim to left chanel option and play the audio file the left sound plays on both speakers the right sound plays nothing and both plays on both.
If i set wiim to right channel option the left sound is nothing the right sound plays on both speakers...
Ok that worked perfectly its definitely in stereo mode. I dont think ill ever have a need for the other 3 options but still curious why they dont work. Thanks for sending that test.
Yea i was playing with the settings and noticed that it does nothing no sound change on any of the four options. And because there is no sound change im not sure which one of the modes its on.
When i select different modes in audio channel i hear no difference my connection is optical in and coaxial out. I was thinking maybe it only works with rca in but before i buy a set of cables i thought i ask.
Opamps in a dac just might be a waste of money I asked Andrew Sparks if I should put his opamps in my dac or my amp his response was change both which makes sense because the opamps in your amplifier will change the sound so if you can't do both you might be wasting quite a bit of cash.
I have heard this amp chip in many other products from aiyima, fosi and others and it's nothing special it's just ok at best. But with them you can change out the opamps to take it up a notch not sure this can be done with the wiim amp. But that doesn't bug me as the older ess dac being used...
Good idea. I just tried that and once again when selecting EQ the sound goes off input is set to wifi and the PEQ is turned on. You can't override it. The same happens if I try line in as input. The unit forces it to PEQ and wifi. It doesn't seem that a factory reset is a real factory reset if...
