How would an HDMI splitter with ARC work in this setup? The idea is to connect the ARC output to the ultra and the other HDMI port to the projector. Will both the Ultra and the projector handle CEC in this configuration?

Today I am using an Epson tw6700, Yamaha RXV779 and an appletv. It works great besides I have to use separate remote for power (Harmony) I want to replace the RXV with an Ultra and thinking about how I could make the CEC and ARC work. Anyone tried it?
