Are we even really getting 24 bits? I wouldn’t think so. Are our dacs are truly capable of 24 bit? and if they are, can you tell 24 bit from 16? I couldn’t
OK, my bad. I never went back and changed the name back after the reboot. It now reads lossless no matter what I put. Again thanks for your suggestion on the reboot, Wilmer

A reboot did the trick. Also, if you rename your device from the stock name, it won’t say losses by it in Spotify . If you leave the stock name Ultra, Wiim pro, Wiim pro+ it will say lossless after.🤷♂️
WiiM pro says device not compatible with lossless. Put when I go to my Ultra works fine. On the WIIM pro lossless is grayed out. On the Ultra it is not, I’ve tried everything. It just won’t pass lossless.
How about an all out assault on just a digital streamer. I find the USB out on my ultra does not sound as good as the ultra alone with a dac that I would like to use. So great USB out tosslink and coax. And give it a lot of computing power so you can change tracks quickly surf the app quickly...

I know this is late, but I can’t get my WiiM Pro to digitally output tidal at all. I haven’t tested the coax or analog outs. Spotify and Qobuz work flawlessly tidal does not work as of 9/8/25
