Problem is now solved. Not sure what changed. First, everything was on the same 5gHz wifi. I use different names for 2.4 and 5gHz.

Problem is now solved. Not sure what changed. First, everything was on the same wifi. I use different names for 2.4 and 5gHz.
Next day I rebooted my router and WiiM Sound, cleared caches for Google Home and WiiM Home apps, rebooted my phone.
Suddenly the WiiM Sound appeared as a local...
I have enabled Google Cast. My WiiM Sound appears as a Chromecast device in my apps and can play music using WiiM Home, Roon, Qobuz, etc.
I just can't find a way to add it as a device within the Google Home app, and any Chromecast group that includes my WiiM Sound won't connect in any app even...
WiiM Sound is a big disappointment for me because I cannot group any speakers with my Sound using Roon Ready. I also cannot play the Sound with Chromecast groups using any app. Grouping devices is a big part of why I am building a WiiM ecosystem.
Summary:
*** WiiM Sound cannot be set up as a...
Wow, just found out about this. Works with my original remote and Ultra. Now I'll reorder my presets, which I use both for radio stations and PEQ settings. Now I can separate them: single press for stations and double-press for smart presets. Much simpler to remember (once I "forget" my current...
I'd like a way to assign different RoomFit profiles to preset buttons on the remote control. My previous room correction settings were moved to RoomFit with the latest update, so I'm no longer able to choose them with smart presets or from the "Now Playing" screen.
I use two different RoomFit...
I entered three custom named presets for my Ultra. These presets are for selecting different EQ settings with "Audio Input" set to "Any". The preset names appear correctly in the Android WiiM app but are shown as "Empty" on the Ultra's display and cannot be selected from the touchscreen.

Correct. If WiiM goes into auto-standby while using line-in, it will wake up from a line-in signal. If WiiM goes into standby from wifi with "Nothing Playing" it will wake up and switch to line-in when it has an active signal.
It's when WiiM is both in "Standby" and "Pause" states that...
No, that's not the issue. Let me give one specific example:
Suppose I'm listening to a radio station on vTuner or TuneIn through my WiiM Pro "wifi" input. When I'm finished I press "Power Off".
Hours later, I turn on my TV which has its audio out connected to my WiiM Pro's "line-in". Even...
Auto-sensing of line-in and optical sources does not work if any source was "paused" and went into auto-standby, or if the WiiM device was powered off from any source. Once WiiM is in standby, shouldn't any active signal from an input set to auto-sensing cause WiiM to power up and switch to that...
OK, I have some useful information. If I change the line-in status from "Play" to "Pause" the WiiM Pro will go into standby automatically. This is the opposite of signal sensing auto-standby since it requires action from the remote control or app.
WiiM: Why does this seem specific to my WiiM...
Your suggestion doesn't work. I unplugged the cable from my television's audio out, rebooted the WiiM Pro, and set standby to 30 seconds. Same problem. I then tested every input:
Wifi: auto-standby after 30 seconds
Bluetooth: auto-standby after 30 seconds
Line-In: doesn't work (source end of...
I have my WiiM Pro set to two minutes for auto-standby. This works fine when set to wi-fi input: after two minutes the white light dims.
This does not work when using line-in. The light stays bright green no matter how long there's been no audio signal, even when the source device is powered...
Thanks so much for implementing Smart Presets.
I'd like to use the remote control preset buttons to change or turn off EQ for whatever is currently playing. These changes would help:
1) For "Choose EQ": Add an option "EQ Off" just under "Follow Current EQ"
2) For "Edit Preset": add "Audio...
