I understand that fixing HDMI ARC communication on the LG/Wiim side can be complicated. That's why I propose this solution, because the prioretization of input detection on hdmi/optical is missing. Now I connected two signals hdmi + optical and use this script for automatic switching signal...

1. Wiim Amp connected via HDMI to HDMI3 (ARC) in TV 2. Sound out to HDMI ARC 3. eARC disabled and digital sound output to PCM. 4. In Wiim app output to TV 5. I don't have audio. Reboot tv/wiim is not solving problem. Soundbar Creative works fine with this settings.

Which model of LG do you have? Many users reported problems with LG B4. On my tv, ARC work fine because I tested it with an old soundbar.

I have old soundbar Creative Stage and works on HDMI ARC without any issues, plug and play - I think tv its ok.

This feature is only for detecting audio from hdmi or optical in, everything else is without changes. This issue solve the problem when you connect HDMI and Optical in the same time.

You can try connect optical and hdmi. Optical for audio and hdmi for volume control, for me works (LG B4 55inch). The one thing is, wiim boot on source “TV”, not “Optical”.

But HDMI ARC should work without any additional combinations... @WiiM Support maybe you can introduce separate options for "Auto-sensing of Optical In" and "Auto-sensing of HDMI"? This could eliminate the need for my automatic switching script.
