This post has now been removed Qobuz Club, with no explanation (or apology). The poster never provided any credible evidence that the date would be May 5th.
Oh-er. That sounds nasty. I guess many of us are using Chromecast for music sources other than Qobuz. I fear they'll be focussing upon Connect so much that it might take some time to get Chromecast working again.
(I feel less bitter and twisted now about being rejected from the beta.)
And not even those who were confirmed as having been accepted, and who faffed around trying to find the Connect bea app ... got on the beta. (Which is pretty bad-mannered of them.)
A good question has been asked (in French) over on Qobuz's forum:
"At the time of installation it is announced that the beta version will replace the existing version. Is it true that favorites and playlists will be deleted?"

Is the Qobuz Android beta app being delivered via the Google Play Store, or is it a separate APK which needs to be downloaded and sideloaded? If so, what is the name of the beta Qobuz app? (I have never signed up for Qobuz beta software before - too interested in listening to music!)
I received the email 5 days ago 13th. and returned my Mac address and serial number promptly. I too was surprised that there was no acknowledgement or confirmation, and I too have been wondering what's going on and have I done it correctly. UK.
Me too. Chromecast sounds fine, and allows me to use the native Qobuz app, but it's just so flakey. I guess it could be any one of
The Qobuz app
The Google Home app and associated Chromecast protocol stuff
The WiiM Pro
or a combination of the interaction between any two of them.
Typical...
Thanks Mike. Sorry for my ambiguous if not terse question.
In this thread, it is pointed out that Spotify's revenue is 1000x more than Qobuz's. Given that there are a lot of fixed costs (as compared with marginal costs) in this business, I would have expected that any financial challenges faced...
A very few users may not realise that this change is to assist customers who are leaning over the amp from the front, rather than facing it from the rear.
Mine is scarily tight, on WiiM Pro. With the supplied cable. As I forced it in, when new, I hoped that the socket was anchored by more than some pcb solder pads. But it's not.
I just checked it now, for this post, and cannot pull the plug out!
Would mysqueezebox.com be able to work with the squeezelite functionality in my WiimM Pro? Or does the Wiim only work with a locally-running LMS server?
(I'm intrigued by the squeezebox world, but don't want to install further software on my Windows PC and have to leave my PC running.)
