Yup, I was never able to get it working consistently. Support stopped replying to the ticket like the last time I had issues with the Mini. I gave up and got rid of the Wiim Pro, and looked on the used market for a different brand. :/

is this a problem on the Pro with Toslink as well? I've been having airplay dropouts constantly and it's not network related. I first noticed it with coax so I switched to toslink and it's happening there as well Support has been useless and ignoring what I tell them, and I havent bothered...

Please don't use 'transparency' as a measure of quality, you didn't stumble onto a unicorn. A good low cost option, absolutely, that's what Wiim's goal is and they're doing it well. I had a Mini once, it failed to do its job as a transport and went back.

Just my 2c, but I dont care about and just bypass the dacs in these kinds of products, but if Wiim put out a model with some cool 'pro' features on the streaming transport side, like more output options that some people want or could improve the digital passthrough to hang with the overly...
