Most high end headphones have replaceable connection cables. So using an adapter is an option rather than a necessity.

I have checked the "questions spreadsheet" for headphone output specs but it's still blank. This is an important spec since it would allow users to potentially skip an external headphone amp. Has anyone seen those specs?

AFAIK there hasn't been a firmware update for the Draco. I run the WiiM pro in bit perfect mode so no eq with my setup. I really like the sound from the Draco. I'm sensitive to sss and tss being over represented. To me, the Draco has none of that and guitars are heavenly with a natural trail...

I think the elephant in the room is price. If the Ultra costs any where near 800 pounds then they will be shooting themselves in the foot. I believe many people just want a Pro plus with a USB output.

I remember reading that you should be able to connect a USB hub which would allow you to have multiple USB connections including output to an external DAC.

True, that is why I compare audio equipment by using highly resolving wired headphones. IMHO it is the best way to evaluate equipment.
