So I did some measurements. Without adjusting the the volume...first YouTube and then switching to Netflix. Also run this with Apple TV, again, without adjusting the volume. That measured a little better than the TV and it was actually manageable.
Definitely something with the TV's output.
When using the TV speakers I can switch back and forth between YouTube and Netflix without the need to adjust the volume. When using the WiiM Amp, I have to increase the volume significantly in order to hear Netflix. I just tried it in the other room where everything is hooked up to a Marantz...
There is no difference in volume when I switch between the apps. I don't need to adjust the volume at all when using the build in TV speakers. I will have to order an optical cable to test that.
