Thank you all for your attentions, just sent a google drive sharing link to some of you in this discussion. The track number is different between CD rips and Spotify, but the same 2 tracks mentioned.
Sure, my apologies first for the inconvenience that this is in my native language. The tracks are on Spotify which I have a premium subscription and the fade in can also be heard. It is a technically gapless album with short intro clips between the main songs.
Track 11 is the main song with...
I wish I cannot hear the fade in and be a happy man. I am relatively new to the forum and if there is a direct mail function I can share the 2 flac files for your listening and experiments.
Thanks all. I will try setting up LMS in my windows 10 PC and experience it.
I have been pulling my hair out for the undesired fade in the past few weeks. The mini is such a fine product from sound quality and userability considerations.
Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. Do you mind share with me what is the software suite you use for the LMS controlled playback? It could be the cure to the fade in issue bordering me. And do you mean if I switch over to LMS I am going to lose gapless playback?

Dear onlyoneme, mind kindly elaborate a bit more on the difference between the 2nd and 3rd fade in graph? I suppose the 3rd graph content played with WHA (WiiM home app?) should be the same as the 2nd which means they are both playing back using the DLNA protocol.
I would like to figure out if...
I have followed up with my ticket with Customer Service who had swiftly responded the crossfade switch is where I can turn on and off the fade in. I have tested and verified it is not. Please see my reply below with details and suggestions which I have come across from this forum a while back...
Another firmware and ios app update but still no cure for the cut out of the beginning of a song playing from home DLNA server. This makes this near giant killer only good for playing internet radio in the background.
Just updated to the new version of WiiM Home for iOS with the crossfade functionality. Turned it off and the fade-in issue is still there. Wondering if any of you know an ETA of the fix? Thanks.
Thanks for the quick response. I have tried 2 DLNA server,
a. the netgear R8000's built-in DLNA server which is super primitive and I don't think it has capability to convert m4a to wav before it is served to the Wiim. Same Server serving flac is showing a smaller than 1411 kbps which totally...
I am a happy Wiim mini owner and thank you for this excellent product. I am huge fan of internet radio and using the Open Network Stream big time. It will be great if title, artist as well as other metadata can be displayed on the Wiim home app.
Thank you very much.
Dear Wiim and community,
Playing through DLNA, why is bitrate for apple lossless files always show 1411 kbs? Not quite right as I expect a smaller number from the compression.
Thanks,
ninekit
