    External optical drive

Indeed. The problem in my case is that my LMS runs on a NAS, hidden in the basement...

    External optical drive

Up, as suggested by @RyanWithWiim BTW, In the meantime I discovered that also the Ruark R610 has a similar functionality, they even sell a dedicated separated CD drive

WiiM Amp vs Tangent CD II

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but thanks a lot for mentioning this device! I have been looking for a long time for a CD player that searches for metadata in Musicbrainz or other sites. There used to be BD players (from Sony, I think) that searched into Gracenote, but the service has been...

    External optical drive

There is a feature that I like a lot from Eversolo and Hifi Rose devices (I only read about this feature, I did not have the opportunity of testing). This is the possibility of connecting an external USB optical drive, and controlling it like a CD player, while the main unit grabs from internet...

Default "start volume", input change Wiim Amp

Prickling sensation when touching WiiM Amp

    USB output

Thanks for the link! I had searched the forum but did not find that info, which looks indeed excellent. If it allows volume control (and with the option of muting the main amp) it would be for me the killer feature, since it was more or less the only reason for me to refrain from purchasing the...

    USB output

It would be nice to activate USB out. The WiiM Amp is probably running some kind of linux variant, so it should be only matter of loading the appropriate software modules/drivers. This would allow plugging a USB dongle for wired headphone connection, making the Amp the perfect all-in-one system...
