I use Roon with WIIM Ultra. WiiM is connected to powered speakers via 3.5 cables. If I try to add my Kitchen Devialet to a zone via WI-Fi to the stream it results in sync issues in playback. (Almost sounds echoey)
Any way to reduce this or should I head over the the WiiM site?
My thanks as always.
I find volume levelling in some products impacts quality of sound. (Yes Roon I am looking at you.) Does Wiim's gain levelling work well? (Yes I can just try I but what fun is that?)
I have a Western Digital MyCloud home where I store files for WIIM and Plex. I keep it synced with my Mac files. Works fine.
(My Mac is a laptop that might be turned on once every 2 weeks)
Nothing was saved but thanks for your thoughts.
I follow the 3-2-1 backup rule is a data protection strategy (three copies of your data, on two different storage media, with one copy stored offsite)
I did not lose a byte.
We share a Qobuz Duo account. (Therefore would be restricted to locally created playlist within the WiiM app,) Since you cannot have multiple Qobuz accounts attached to a WiiM I think the easier approach will be to use naming conventions. _Playlist for and X_Playlist for me. Not very elegant but...
I’d be fine if we could get separate Artists & Playlists.
I want my (did I mention lovely) wife to look at her list (Taylor - Keys - Adele) and think 😍
rather then seeing Grateful Dead Phish Billy Strings and thinking 😖.
Being able to choose between multiple user profiles with personal presets - recently played - playlists would be boss. 😎
My (lovely) wife can preset to her faves and I to mine for example.
I use a LaCie Mobile Drive 5TB External Hard Drive Portable HDD ($225CAD / 122 GDP) - works great - no idea how hot it gets as it sits on my delay and behaves itself.
