Does anyone now using the K13 R2R have any personal knowledge of how it compares to the K11 R2R? I'm interested to try the "distortion" of R2R but being budget conscious I'm wondering if the K11 (now at bargain prices) would be sufficient in my modest system. I don't need balanced output. Thanks

I think it would be beneficial to know the rest of your system equipment and what "difference" you hear between Ultra internal DAC and the Fiio currently. Ultimately you are the only judge of whether the addition is beneficial, so realistically you should just buy from a "free returns" seller...

Ultra can act as a Squeezelite player, so LMS works simply & well, mine is on a Raspberry Pi (also cheap and effective) but Win PC is an option.

If you update in Network Stream and then overwrite the saved Preset it updates.and includes your saved image - if that helps... Clearly only beneficial if the Preset is a Network Stream, most of mine are.

Amp Ultra is "lower SQ" amp than Vibelink I believe, but still a tad frustrating.

Although you may find this unacceptable, just because a speaker is bi-wireable you don't have to use it that way, you can only run a single speaker line and halve the trouble. You will potentially lose a fraction of the available SQ, but life is full of compromises!!
