I don't dispute that this is technically correct.
However, once you put an hdmi input, the distinction between stereo amplifier and AVR becomes a bit academic, in my opinion, especially if coupled with the claim that the amp "supports" dolby digital. If the amp does a "standard" (correct)...
This is what I have observed with my tests. I have returned the wiim amp pro for this very reason (after having purchased it in the hope to replace my sonos amp).
Thanks for all the replies. The sub is working fine. I used some test tones and verified that it does indeed work.
I believe this is not a setup problem, but more of a question as what happens when the pro amp folds down 5.1 content. I understand that this is slippery subject, as noted by...
I just got my wiim amp pro. Everything works as expected. However while playing a dolby 5.1 from my xbox, I noticed that there's no LFE signal coming out of my subwoofer. In other words, I seem to get a 5.0 downmix, not a 5.1 one. This is not what happens with the sonos amp I have here...

Hi,
As others in this forum I have the issue that volume on my hdmi input seems significantly lower than that when listening to music. I have checked all relevant tv settings (e.g. pcm volume level) and there's no more I can do there.
I know there is a new feature, per-source volume control...
