What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

Airplay1 would be nice for lossless Apple Music. I swapped out my Mini for a Arylic S10+ (cd quality 16/44.1 streams) but the loss of an integrated eq is a miss.

What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

A cd transport would be pretty cool. My vote is a slot based one or if tray-based, one with a quality mechanism and sturdier materials.

What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

Yeah it is a bit odd that the ultra doesn’t fit with the amp’s dimensions and design. I wouldn’t doubt a power amp is in the works that would better complement the ultra and also doesn’t duplicate any of the ultra’s functions.

What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

A pre-amp stage with multiple digital and analog inputs including Phono, a sub out with bass management, hdmi arc, usb input, an upgraded dac and a streamer (of course) with AirPlay supported.

Meet WiiM Ultra - The Digital Hub for Your Music

It’s lovely but I’m trying to justify a use case for buying it. I have a Mini and cd player > SMSL SU-1 dac > Pioneer Elite receiver. Main benefit is screen and ESS dac chip I suppose. I don’t plan to connect to a tv. Am I missing something?

Same. Keep it simple. Keep it inexpensive. Keep up with the product updates. We’ll keep spreading the good word about Wiim.

    What's your setup/configuration look like?

Cheap and easy. Mini to SMSL SU-1 dac to a 20 year old pioneer av receiver.

difference between wiim pro and pro plus while streaming

Yes from Cheapaudioman’s review of the ProPlus alone vs the Pro x SMSL combo, he favored the combo slightly better. Not as good as the Pro with Geshelli J2 dac but that dac is a lot more $$.

difference between wiim pro and pro plus while streaming

I have a Mini connected to an SMSL SU-1 dac. The SMSL has the same dac chip as what is in the Wiim Pro Plus. $170 for the combo but no Ethernet, extra inputs or remote. None of which I needed anyway.
