I put a feature request in the OP for a high pass filter. The sub itself has a built in low pass filter so on that side I'm good. The problem is the rest of the speakers where I want them to only play sounds over 80-100hz so that they don't waste energy (and should therefore distort less) on...
It works for me. I do not use the WiiM for video, only to drive music and radio over speakers in several rooms. I do not use this setup to watch movies and until WiiM supports HDMI/HDSC multi channel with some kind of AVS device this seems like it cannot be possible - sync will ALWAYS introduce...
I have an alarm that goes off in the morning and plays a news station for 1hr 15min which is how long it takes me to get up and out. This used to work perfectly.
It still reliably turns on in the morning however sometimes (often) I come home at the end of the day to find out it never shut off...
There's only one gotcha with using the triggers that I found. May be different with a trigger on the amp, but I trigger the entire power bar, which means the amps are getting zero power until they get the trigger.
The gotcha is it takes the amp a couple of seconds to power up and begin playing...
No problem. Works great.
In general you can split line level signals large number of times without issue in any audio system and WiiM is no exception.
As a rule splitting a pre-amplified signal is safe and common, you would have to split thousands of times to create issues, while splitting a...
I have a wiim pro plus with line out to two Fosi v3 power amps (using splitter cables on the output). They are plugged into a power strip with a trigger, and the wiim trigger out controls the power strip.
Not exactly the same but similar.
It should work

If you can drive the left and right speakers separately with a pair of minis I don't see why you couldn't drive a sub
Yes that's my plan.
And here's a product suggestion, re: thread topic
WiiM Sub Mini - a WiiM mini with features customized for driving a subwoofer. Specifically it would have an LFE out, as well as line out, and it would have both a rumble filter (low end high pass filter) and a low pass...
(Mod edit: moved from another thread)
Add the ability to define and save preset scenes. A scene is an overall configuration that can be selected for different situations including:
1. How wiims are linked together in groups (eg whole house in one group, only indoor speakers, indoor and...
You can use multiple wiim in the same room.
ETA - it's an expected use case. When you group this is why you can mark a wiim as left or right speaker. You could also have a third in the room driving a subwoofer, and you might have a fourth wiim driving a second subwoofer. The whole idea is not...
They have to do group level room correction. The whole point of wiim, to me, is that it can drive multiple devices wirelessly so I don't have to run cables everywhere.
But that means the sub and mains may be on different wiim. In fact the L and R may not be connected to the same wiim.
So the...
