It isnt really about filling the room. If you sat down and listened to my towers you would think a big amd high powered sub was playing. It is about smoothing the response to tame room modes and filll nulls. NO tower can do all of that.

No such beast. I have big Revels that can shake the house with deep bass. The problem with floorstanders is that the bass drivers are locked in place. The best position for your speakers upper ranges, will most often not be optimal for bass frequencies. Subwoofer(s) smooths in-room response.

Same issue here. Rebooted unit and software. It worked fine last week and to my knowledge there have been no firm or software updates.
