App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

An update, in case others have this problem and see this post: Another workaround is to just close the WiiM App and reopen it a couple seconds later. That works about 90-95% of the time at least on the current app version (3.0.1.241115). If it doesn't work the 1st time, close and reopen again...

App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

Apologies for delay in response -- for some reason I no longer get emails notifying me of new entries in watched forum posts. My network: A standalone modem (not a combo modem/router or "gateway") The TP-Link Deco mesh router system (model X55) Three nodes, one of which is what they denote as...

App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

Update: the following steps make the App work to show all the WiiM devices: Open the WiiM app (which shows the one WiiM present and the other two "On other networks") Turn off Wifi on the tablet, keeping the WiiM app open Wait a few seconds Turn Wifi back on Suddenly all three WiiM's appear in...

App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

I don't have another router present between my modem and the Deco mesh system. If I were to switch the Deco system to AP Mode, which system would provide routing functions like DHCP, UPnP, etc.?

App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, even after rebooting the tablet, and turning wifi off and then on again, it shows the same behavior. I should've also noted that this behavior began when I installed the mesh network. I used to have a main router and two wifi extenders, and the WiiM app...

App on tablet doesn't see 2 of 3 WiiM's -- says they're "On Other Networks". Mesh network issue?

Per the title, when I bring up WiiM Home App on a tablet, it shows one device (a WiiM Amp), but shows the other two (Mini and Pro Plus) as "Online" yet "On other networks": When I bring up the app on my phone, however, everything works fine -- all three WiiM's show up perfectly. All devices...

    Chromebook Support

Odd; there must be a somewhat inscrutable scheme for this, as it installed fine on my Intel Chromebook (Acer Spin 713, with Intel 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7). It hadn't been possible to install it previously, but worked fine yesterday. So, I suppose one should just try it on their Chromebook, and...

    WiiM Home App v2.10.7 Update - Jul 24, 2024

Not sure if it was in this release or a (recent) prior one, but the app now works on Chromebooks (as an Android app). I hope it was intentional and you're just keeping it somewhat un-publicized for a while... vs. being inadvertent. It seems to work perfectly. That's a really helpful enhancement...

    Chromebook Support

@oldius - FYI: Suddenly the full WiiM Home App is now available to download and use on Chromebooks. I noticed it only accidentally; I haven't seen it in release notes. It seems to work fine. It's great to have the app available now... Kudos to @WiiM Team for this enhancement among the many others.

Wiim app can't "find" Wiim Mini

Another possibility is that your WiFi signal might be just a little too weak for the Mini. I experienced the same problems you mentioned -- setup went OK, playback generally worked esp. with Spotify Connect, but then the Mini would frequently not be findable by the app, and ultimately playback...

    Pandora Pandora login failed

Thanks for that information. I actually have DNS server addresses configured on my router, overriding the ISP's DNS addresses (supposedly the override versions are faster / more reliable / more secure). That should apply to all devices on my network, but ... if that Pandora issue happens again...

    Pandora Pandora login failed

FYI: this happens to me anytime the WiiM player's "Preferred DNS Server" setting (in Settings / Network Status) gets set to "Off". And that can happen, as I understand it, if there's a network problem with my router, or ISP, etc. WiiM's software attempts to recover by disabling that option, at...

API HTTP Call using a Playlist URL

FYI: You can play a preset you've pre-defined to the WiiM player with: command=MCUKeyShortClick:preset# e.g. command=MCUKeyShortClick:3 That isn't the same as being able to play any Tidal (or Qobuz or Spotify etc.) playlist, of course, but it's simple and works fine... (Thanks to @onlyoneme...

WiiM Pro 12v Trigger to compatible small amp

My Parasound zAmp (v.3) works fine with WiiM's 12V trigger output (it also has a setting to sense an active input signal, and that works fine as well). It's also fairly compact (designed to fit in a half-height rack space), and sounds good.

Do voice commands work only when playback is started by a voice command in the first place (vs. preset buttons, or the WiiM app)?

Thanks, @Wiimer and @Brantome, for the quick replies. I figured as much. It makes the voice part of the voice remote not useful to me (though the buttons, and thus the remote, are still useful, and overall the WiiM system is excellent). @WiiM Team - It might help others, if someone could at...
