I'm using DLNA on my NAS but it is not easy to set up for a novice in most cases (running custom f-alt firmware with an addon on an old d-link device), so having Samba access sounds like a nice new feature.

That's the iOS app, which also works on MacOS. This thread is about the dedicated MacOS app, which had very limited functionality.

This was because my firewall blocked the WiiM app. And WiiM app did not like not having internet access. Instead of alerting the user it would just crash. After allowing the app to access the scary internet it works perfectly.

Looks like this app is removed from the Mac App Store. I can't find it anymore.

Thanks but we don't have Amazon in Norway. I could buy it but then with added VAT, postage and import handling fees it will be too expensive for a $20 product.

According to the distributer in Norway there is a high minimum ordering quantity for the remote from WiiM. So they are unable to import the remote due to this requirement being too high for them. Please allow sales of smaller quantities for the remote so we are able to buy it in smaller...

My WiiM iOS app was not updated today and when launched I was unable to use the app without updating the app. This is problematic for many reasons including: * I could be offline or on a slow connection and not able to update the app. * The latest update could have a bug or for some other reason...

That is the MacOS app. I am referring to the iOS app which can run on MacOS (but crashes for me).

Would be cool if the WiiM app could show Recently played from the Tidal app (in the same way with albums/tracks not just a long list of tracks). I'm a creature of habit.

IMHO it would make more sense to use the iOS app on Mac (if it worked). It has all the features and universal binaries works quite well on Mac even if the UX is intended for different type of devices.

I was able to install this on my Mac but I do not see any way to add my Tidal account. Is this for local music files only?
