I have 2 Plex servers. One on a WD NAS and one on a Mac Mini, both have 50000 tracks on them. The former is permanently unavailable and the Mac Mini is available but when I select the library where most of the files are it reverts to another folder with only two 5.1 albums in it. So when I select...
Well, that's a let down so far! I had high hopes for this, but I may as well keep using Chromecast and Airplay. Settings are non existent bar your account and choice of library. To be of any use it needs to be able to advertise as a player at the very least. Maybe there's more to come but it's a...
I'm not sure if this casts any light on the issue, but I've got a JBL Authentics 300 that I use outside, apparently due to be Roon Ready anytime soon, but until then I've been trying to use the Chromecast connection with Roon, this also allows grouping with my various WiiM devices. This is not...
I'm going with something you can take outside...... maybe something like the old Logitech Squeezebox Boom. Powered by WiiM that would be awesome for the summer parties.
I must admit I didn't realise that I had a problem because I only have a few ALAC files and hadn't missed them, but on trying to play the ALAC files I got the same response ( trying to start but not getting there). I disabled ALAC in LMS and they now play perfectly. The problem I didn't know I...
Strange thing started happening yesterday evening, I was listening to Roon on my WiiM Pro and after about Half an hour the sound just cut off, the WHA reported that the music was still playing with track advance showing as did Roon and the DAC was showing the correct sample rate. I rebooted the...
On the couple of occasions we've had house parties and I've used this setup it's worked really well. Having said that I have a mini playing into an Echo Studio and I did have to slightly adjust the latency to get it in sync with the other Wiims, but all in all I was very happy with the results.
I have two Pro's and two Minis and found a way around this if you want to use WHA multi room. Spare iPhone running Ipeng with the player add-on playing into one of the Pro's via optical in, the Pro's and Minis can then be grouped in WHA. A bit clunky but way cheaper than replacing the Minis for...
It's not behind a door, and the IR controls kitchen TV etc, but it could easily be placed inside an enclosed space just for the amp and, although I haven't tried it, because I don't have WiiM remote to teach the IR, maybe the WiiM Pro as well.
