    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

Can I use it as a Music Service with Sonos? If not, it is not an answer for me.

    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

Don't think Sonos, Wiim or Bluesound has an AlbumArtist index.

You don't. I believe remote accessibility only gives you access outside you local network (on the web or 4/5G).

    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

The Wiim app accesses my Plex libraries as a Home Music Share, and it works well. Except for that navigation is a p.i.t.a. Navigating Plex libraries on Sonos is a breeze.

    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

By the way, UPnP on Sonos is pretty slow. Plex works as an endpoint natively in Sonos, just press the + sign to add it as a new music service. Plex does its own indexing, much faster than Sonos, you can access several different music libraries easily and don't have to think of the 65.000 song...

    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

I use the plain Plex app mostly, What I miss the most are navigation options; either a scrollbar or letters to click on to progress down to find an artist or album, like in IOS. I have a lot of music. I don't use Chromecast on a mini. If Wiim made Plex usable an Ultra would be interesting.

    Warning: avoid purchasing Sonos

OK, it was more of a hassle to upgrade to the new Sonos app than usual, but after a few attempts it worked fine when i wired all my units for upgrading. I got my music on a Plex server, and it works flawlessly with Sonos, both on my local network and anywhere else away from home. Wiim still has...

    Support for plex

Yes, and an extra benefit is that with a Plex Pass, you can access your library anywhere; the Plex server does not have to be in the same location ac the Wimi player as long as there is web access.

    Integrating Music Services

OK, we may be living in different worlds. Plex has been working flawlessly with Sonos for years. I have a couple of Sonos speakers in different places and have used my whole library in those places without problems. I have the choice to access different Plex libraries everywhere. My server is...

    Integrating Music Services

May be true; my server is fast enough for Plex / Plexamp, but slow when accessing 280k music files with DLNA. DLNA requires that your player is on the same local network as your music files. With Plex you can play your music anywhere as long as you are on the internet. And with album art. Of...

DLNA just gives a list view, and a slow one.
