Bowie Hunky Dory off WiiM 16/48, that’s right, I have an old Cal Audio sigma, I’ll appreciate presence over sterile high resolution from time to time. Also I recently checked out again, Bowie, Aladdin Sane half speed master vinyl (Music Hall MMF 7). The mood struck for that recently.

Pangea premier cable works for me and is not very expensive.

I’ve had my WiiM pro for 3-4 months and so far so good with optical out. I use tidal connect as well and my only gripe is the missing first second or on a new selection. This isn’t a huge deal for me, as I tend to listen to complete albums more often than not.

I haven’t measured the width of the recessed opening for coax. I use optical for WiiM and coax from my cd transport on the same dac. Try Pangea coax possibly? Great sound and good value. Slimmer connectors than cardas style. Those adapters shown look a lot like switchcraft rca ends. If you are...

I should add that I use separates. I did notice that at 100% fixed volume with the WiiM my preamp volume was the set the lower than with my cd transport and outboard dac. Just sayin.

Fwiw, if you run an external dac, experiment with removing fixed volume setting. Maybe reduce WiiM device volume 25% at first. Experiment a bit with that, FYI this will require increasing your system reference volume. If this doesn’t work don’t take it out on me.
