I agree, this is quite limited right now. The choices for idle screens display the time with a slideshow background (distracting, plsno) or a static image clock, but in a goofy cartoon font in multiple colors. Please, give us an option for a simple black & white clock on standby. The slideshow...

I recall seeing speculation in the Wiim Ultra thread, where someone had speculated a 5.1 receiver, and that response was 'liked' by the Wiim Team. That's my guess.

Shower thought: Since there's no DAC, no speakers (for boomboxes, etc) in CD transports, it seems like it'd be a cheap thing to put together.
