Okay, I borrowed a friend's bluesound node and connected it to my D70 Pro Octo via USB, and had similar results, pointing to an issue with the DAC vs the WIIM. I'm personally considering this issue solved. That said, the volume is not so low that the volume when well below 100 is plenty loud...

But, then the WIIM sends 100% volume to the sub, and adjusting the volume on the DAC has no impact on the sub volume.

The DAC is set up in DAC mode, which just passed the signal straight through at 100%, I'm controlling the volume via the Ultra. I would consider switching things so I just control the volume via the DAC, but then I lose sub settings that I appreciate on the WIIM side of things 🤷🏻

I guess I'm a bit dense, but I'm not following what you're saying here... Can you spell out the implications of what you're pointing to and how they would create the issue being pointed out?

I am having this same issue with my Ultra. I have a Topping D70 Pro Octo, and when I output from the optical cable I get a "normal" volume level, but if I switch to USB out the volume is nearly half of what it is via optical. I'll send a message to WIIM through the app and see what they say...

Yeah, I tried this method, and am guessing there's a problem with my specific TV, a 65" Vizio. I'm able t create the group in Google home, and see the group in the device options in Spotify, but when I choose it, the music starts to stream/play on the WIIM, but the connection to the tv never...

Can you elaborate on this or refer me to a resource that explains what you're describing?

This happens with my mini all the time, sometimes several times a day... The only solution I've found that works consistently is to shut the app down, go to the settings on my Android, then to apps, choose Amazon Music, then force stop. I keep hoping an update to either the WIIM app, or Amazon...
