Why has the app changed so you can't see the actual bitrate being streamed, it just says Lossless. Is this dictated by Spotify?? I like seeing the rates of what I'm playing. Don't we all??? Going to play with YTM and Spotify Lossless compare some tracks this evening.

OK here's more weird. (done all above etc) Just connected phone to Wiim Mini via Bluetooth. Now it's saying Lossless. So it's late and I'm tired. Turning all Wiim devices off and going to bed. Where I can listen to lossless. Albeit on my xm5's but that's all I can do for now.

Radio 3 streams in hi-res I believe. Unsure why only Radio 3 though. I'm also a little confused as I'm reading that we can still access the live streams, just not the catch-up stuff? Hoping that I don't miss out on my Essential Mixes etc. I love getting up on Sat morning and catching the end...

Are those streams working now? They seem to be intermittently active. I was using them to listen on my phone with my XM5's. Always thought it was odd that in 2025 the BBC had such low quality streams. As long as I don't lose 6Music and Pete Tong / E-mixes, I'll be OK!

So BBC Sounds App is going to be useless to us ex-pats who escaped Blighty. From 21st July. How will this affect the ability to stream BBC stations via the Wiim app?

Unlikely. Never gets disconnected and it's not in a position where it could be accidentally knocked. Just seems to have factory reset itself but weird my searches are still there.

Just got up and tried to use my Mini but it seemed to have factory reset. Lost all settings and favourites, my EQs etc. But weirdly my searches were still there. Was there a FW overnight that might have caused this ? Never happened before. Bloody annoying.

That's one way. But the Wiim amp takes up a lot less space. A cleaner look than having an amp, tuner, streamer and DAC. Also newer tech. Subwoofer management. A remote control. More power. That amp is from 97. Was a What Hifi Award winner. I think it's time it retired.🤓
