Break them in. Meaning plug them into any headphone socket, and let them play on their own for 24, 36, 48 hours. Then give them another listen.
Many say this is snake oil, but you won't know for yourself with out trying.
The Yaxi Pads are an improvement over stock. Good choice IMO.

If Wiim was concerned about mains power being disconnected, their design would not have included a detachable power cable. They would have Included a power switch, backup battery and a fan to facilitate a controlled shutdown sequence.
Don't forget you can add Bluetooth functionality to any wired headphone with a portable BT dac amp. There are many on the market with various features. If you're not sure this is the right option, try the Fiio BTR 11 for $20 (÷/-) US. Great value for the money.
