WiiM is very transparent so I don't think they are the issue.
It's very likely that Dirac would like WiiM to maintain the secrecy even though the collaboration may already be in progress, which means WiiM may not be in the position to even comment if they are working on it or not.
Based on...
Or Mini Amp Pro Ultra 😄
Seriously, just bring it Dirac on.
There is a Black Friday sale every year where Dirac gives 30% off for folks who want cheaper.
oh darn, waiting all the way til the end of October? wow... why this delay?
But then maybe we'll be getting the "revised" batch by then so I will try to wait.
So, a "pure digital transport".
But maybe look at it this way, Wiim already makes several of these, with a free bonus DAC inside, so basically it's Wiim Minus pricing but with free bonus DAC built-in 😄
I think essentially we are on the same page. No doubt NAD makes solid hardware. It's all their digital software implementation/integration stuff that has gone sideways in recent years, as evident by my M10 V2 with full touch interface, digital ports etc.
Maybe the idea of using an external...
oh gosh... my M10 has so many random shutdowns and reboots that I lost count. And Roon losing its connectivity, plus the recent firmware fiasco, and BlueOS support promising updates something but never delivers, BluOS 4 is vaporware, Dirac Live Bass Control is vaporware despite promises 3 years...
You and I have different definition of "reasonable priced" I guess :)
To me, Wiim products are reasonably priced :)
Just one, M10 V2.. love everything about it, but lots of bugs.
May I ask what are "synthetic measurements"?
Wikipedia says "Synthetic instruments in test and measurement are conceptually related to the software synthesizer in audio or music." Is this what you are referring to?
Wow, @WiiM Support you guys are on a roll! This is simply amazing, not just from the technical standpoint but price, keep up the good work!
Looking forward to a Wiim Amp X or Ultra that has dual individual sub-outs and maybe even Dirac Live Bass Control. This would instantly take over NAD which...
Let's just assume for one second that ASR is the "truth" and everyone is just fools, after I receive my Pro+ and put it through some listening tests, how do I know if "good results" are not actually due to good acoustics in my room or bad results are not due to bad acoustics in my room...
@Achim1811 thanks for your advice.
I am aware of the site "ASR" but unfortunately despite the technical information available, to me, it's just whole bunch of "techno-jumbo" that I don't understand.
I am not sure whether it's because of my lack of technical background, but the measurements...
