Hmm didn't know about this. Will wait till wiim app supports external mic calibration. Well, I am less interested in this as my new speakers sound good without much rc haha.

This should be discussed before but my short search didn't give me much. Is the volume control of Ultra any different from Pro Plus other than the fact that Ultra has the physical knob?

Well it was an introductory video, not an in-depth review. They AB tested RC but no AB test between Ultra and Pro Plus. They just said the difference was quite obvious. I may not buy everything they said but the video was anyway informational. Especially for a a potential buyer who doesn't know...

From the video: They like the sound better than pro plus. More vivid and contrasting. They also enjoy RC. In general, they are very much impressed with Ultra.

Wifi has been spotty from time to time. With some updates, it is a bit better but still weaker than other decices next to wiim.

Your budget is the key. And of course, what speakers you have matters too.There are just so many choices and most are good enough for an ordinary use. You can also go for a set of active speakers.

Wiim no longer talks about it. Assume it has been scrapped. Not sure why but perhaps it is not viable.
