What is the advantage of setting fixed volume to 100% in WiiM app? What is does is clear - but why? To provide a consistent method to control your volume?

It's when the streamer is connected to a integrated amp or pre amp. You use fixed volume from the source (CD player, tape, record, Wiim) and control volume with master volume control on the amp.

In order to get bit perfect output over the digital outputs, you need to set your WiiM to stereo, fixed 100% volume, no volume limit and no EQ/PEQ/RC. For analogue output, it’s up to you whether you wish to use the WiiM or external amp’s volume control.

I have been using Wiim bit perfect for months, I recently started using the EQ, I hear absolutely no difference in the sound quality besides what the EQ does.
