I just got the Wiim Mini.
When the source/input is AUX, I only get a 48KHz signal. Why not higher???
The SPDIF output on the Wiim is set to 192KHz. When the source is wifi I am able to get 192KHz and also matches the frequency of the source (44.1, 48, 96, 192), but switch to AUX source and signals goes down to 48KHz. Is it not possible to get 192 or even 96KHz when input is AUX?
My Wiim is plugged to a DACMagic200 via SPDIF.

My take. There is an ADC chip inside that’s only capable of 16bit 48kHz. Most low cost ADCs are.
Agreed, might even be somewhere in the manual or in one of several reviews. You’d need to spend a good bit more I’d guess to get an ADC to do better than that, plus it begs the question as to what’s feeding the aux to warrant more.

Edit : yes, it’s in the WiiM Mini manual viz.
Audio input: 1 x 3.5 mm Analog Aux input, 1Vrms, 48 kHz/16-bit (up to 24-bit)
