A few questions about Wiim Pro/Pro +

1) I would be using it as a preamp. Has anyone had any issues?
2) I have a powered sub. I assume the best way to proceed would be a RCA Y-splitter so I can send the Wiim pre-out to both the subwoofer and the power amp ??
3) When using a service such as Pandora, I assume you need to use your smart phone and the Wiim remote is essentially useless. Is this pretty much true?
4) When watching TV (via TOSLINK connection), I assume the Wiim remote would be sufficient to control volume and also turn the TV on and off (a couple year old Samsung)??

Re 4), the WiiM remote controls its own volume and can't control your TV as it's not a universal IR remote, it uses bluetooth
