Alternative controls (skip/search) on the WiiM Mini

With the fixed volume output setting, the + and - buttons on the WiiM are useless.
The possibility of changing songs forwards or backwards and/or e.g. rewinding or forwarding 10 seconds would be wonderful in this scenario.
A short press could be used for Skip and a long press for "Search".

Thank you for your quick response. I checked the whole feature request list and didn't find any similar entries. But of course I didn't look at the release notes ...

But the additional function to fast forward and rewind would still be a wish. For me as a musician who often plays and practices to songs from the stereo system ...

Just bought my second Wiim, Mini for car audio use. Not sure how buttons work, is it possible to select/change presets with Mini buttons?
I am using my phone as Wifi Hotspot, so i cannot access Wiim Home application.

Purchasing a WiiM remote may be a solution. It is not possible to change the device's buttons to presets.
Volume buttons can be changed to "previous/next".

Seems that i will stick to the second phone. Already had it in a car for my old DSP for 4 years..
Any chance Wiim will make new feature in Mini, so that + - buttons can be used for switching presets?

So far I have not heard of any such plans, I suggest you submit a request ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app.

I think I have found a workaround:
1) on my phone's Modes and Routines automatically enable wifi hotspot, when i connect to Android Auto
2) use HTTP Api commands, to change Wiim Mini presets.
This eliminates need for second phone.

Now i just need to find api command for changing presets and figure out how to make static ip for my wiim mini...

To manually set the IP, try under Network Status/ Configure IP/ Manual in the Mini’s settings in the WiiM Home app
