I would suggest everyone to try out building a good single driver speaker. Yes, these have better holographic stereo image than every multidriver speaker I have heard.
The passive ( and active ) crossovers in conventional loudspeakers muck up the sound and are never truly transparent.

The Markaudio pluvia 11 and the chn110 has extremely low distortion , lower than most loudspeakers up to 95 dB and the ability to equalize the response with PEQ is a marriage in heaven for the WiiM ultra. I sold my Genelec SAM monitors and I havent heard any speaker sounding better than those drivers in a good box.

These loudspeakers can be built for very little money , biggest drawback is very high spl. If someone needs to play music at 100 dB in the base, you need to complement those with subwoofers.

The Sibelius loudspeaker is a commersial loudspeaker with Markaudio alpair 10.3 drivers - I suggest every one who has a chance to listen to those - do it.

Below we see the very low distortion from the Markaudio Pluvia 11 driver.
Picture left : at 85 dB , picture right: at 95 dB .

Here is my building, using chn110 driver. Totally unexpected, it soundvice totally outclassed every loudspeaker I have had.
The pluvia 11 driver is similar in size and sounds the same, but can have a slightly smaller box for the same amount of bass.

Here is ppataki:s sphere building, using Pluvia 11.

Now, the fun thing is that everyone can buy those drivers, chn110 , pluvia11, or alpair 10.3 and build a DIY box for these - there are plenty of suggestion of cabinet sizes made by Markaudio.
