Can't connect using Chromecast for Tidal or Spotify apps

I have no problem connecting through Chromecast when using BubbleUpnp or Mconnect, but when using the Tidal app there is no Chromecast option. When using Spotify the option is there but clicking does nothing.
I'm confused

Do Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect options appear? Maybe the apps don’t show ChromeCast as an option if their native casting mechanisms are available - and probably preferable.

I had to go into Google Home app and create a speaker group to add the Wiim to.
