Welcome.

You'd have to ask Wiim, but going by the options re. future products in this survey, it would imply that a Wiim CD player probably isn't on the horizon...
(Or that there's no point asking as they are about to release one...)

I find it quite strange that they've released this in silver when all of their other products are black/dark grey

More important these days is the software which can display the disc metadata (see Lyrion CD-play plugin & Eversolo's cd play feature)

The Fosi has no networking so can't do lookups.

CD will come back, and Wiim don't anticipate the wave adding a good CD transport with the familiar form factor of the Ultra, Vibe...
Strange in my opinion, and a real pity.

It works great as a transport, and the remote is perfect for a simple setup like this.

I had tried a Fiio DM13 as well, but the transparent lid, remote, and low price all made the switch worth it! The only thing the DM13 did better was match the color of the silver Amp.

I may use the DM13 on the go, since it has battery and Bluetooth capabilities.
