Perhaps the OP should consider converting all the WAV files to FLAC - l’m struggling to find a reason to use WAV files tbh…

Some think they sound better or more likely they have read that they sound better

Whilst I'm very particular about the software I use, I absolutely try to use the codec/file layout/tagging standards that offer the greatest compatibility.

I don't think there's anything wrong with using WAV/AIFF/image and cue e.t.c., as long as you know that your options will be limited. I see people asking for foobar to support more "tags" in CUE sheets all the time, and it drives me insane!

Yeah, I'm starting to think the same thing. I think I'll just start again with a usb stick in the back of the Wiim with all flac files loaded up.
