I plugged the devive in and ran through setup where it asked which WiFi to attach to / password etc. but I was trying to find out if the wired connection's working.

I looked through the manual and point 13.2 on page 17 says:
13.2 DISABLE/ENABLE WI-Fi You can disable Wi-Fi if you want to connect your device with your network via Ethernet only. You can do so in the device setting and WiFi status page.

I looked in the device setting page and there's no WiFi status page but there's a Network Status button which is what I guess they mean, it shows the WiFi name, IP, Strength etc. but none of them are "live" they're all greyed out so you can't change anything.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

I have the same issue. I want to disable the WIFI after plugging an ethernet cable. The LANswitch is telling me...all is fine. Running a complete factory reset...same same. The App is not showing anything in order to disable WIFI.

Have you tried a different port on the switch, or a different cable?

I am an amateur IT Expert but with an excellent integrated HW Equipment in my Home Network.
I fully understand your approach helping other people . But it is a boring Ping Pong looking to recurrent user problems on the same issue.
Hopefully, you are not paid by WIIM Service Support ;) And you are not blaming me for the solution I have found out in the meantime:cool:
The solution is too simple. Looks like it was an SW Bug after 2.4.3.23040714 Version. Solved in the meantime.
Simply unplug/plug in the power for at least 10 sec.
Ooops ,the " Disable/Enable WI.FI " pops up in the " Network Status" of "WIIM Home App". You can switch off.
Everything is working fine.
Thats what I always told and finally tried by myself: Simply unplug/plug in the power
Enjoy Peter

I'd been tearing my hair out trying to find out what the isue was, I swapped out the ethernet cable and it immediatley worked and the option to disable WiFi appeared.
If you've got a spare somewhere for the sake of a couple of minutes to switch it over, would at least be worth a try.

In this case, it looks like you searched correctly, but the WiFi status page may have been renamed or moved in the new version of the device settings. Instead of looking for the WiFi status page, I recommend that you check if there is an "Enable Ethernet" option in the device settings. If there is, you can turn this option on to disable WiFi and only use a wired connection.

There’s an “enable wifi” setting under Network Status in the Wiim Pro device settings - I’m not aware of any “enable ethernet” setting.

In my android app, it's device settings, network status, enable wifi.
The network status page is completely different depending on wired or wireless connection.
I'm assuming the option is there to allow people to disable wifi - so why is the option called enable wifi?
Double negative - no, I don't want to enable wifi...

Why would you want to enable wifi if there's a wired connection anyway?
That's a serious question, btw.
