Using this player to play SACD and CD music. It's a relatively cheap SACD solution.
Sony provides only HDMI, HDMI sound (not ARC!) or Co-Axial outputs. WIIM Ultra HDMI ARC input won't work with these, and it does not have a Co-Axial input.
It's obvious that Sony had mainly a TV connection in mind that can provide HDMI ARC connection to a sound bar.
The solution was to purchase a Co-Axial to optical adapter (~$20). Connect the Sony player to the adapter via a Co-Axial cable, then connect the adapter to WIIM with an optical cable (Toslink). Performance is good.
