Do I need a sub with this setup?

Hello people! Newcomer here.

I currently own a following setup:

Wiim Ultra -> Musical Fidelity M3si -> Buchardt P300

I mostly listen to EDM via YouTube for parties in my man cave)). This is my first setup, and really enjoying it so far. But I am wondering if a sub would add something extra in the lower end considering that P300s already have pretty deep bass?

My room is quite small 10*12, but is DIY treated (a big rug and thick curtains on the walls)).

By the way, I am looking for something compact and around $500-700 range, maybe a REL T5X? I have no prior experience with subs purely for music, so any advice is welcomed!)

Thanks in advance! 🙏

A cheap RSL Speedwoofer could be an option to try out.

You're already down to 37 Hz, so it depends on whether another 10-12 Hz is worth it.

keep in mind that a subwoofer, better two, could still be useful to reduce the room modes that inevitably form with 6 walls. I add, in an environment like yours I would be happy to have 40 hz within 3 db.

Hey, thanks for the detailed response. Well considering my musical taste, mostly EDM. Maybe it is worth it, but I am worried if a sub would overpower the small room I have? Also, can you please translate if my room measurements are ok which I got from the room correction function in the app attached. Thanks!

wow, I always thought that subwoofers are not welcome in small rooms like mine. Do you suggest 2 two? )) sorry if that is so obvious, but I am a newbie in this))

It's free shipping in US, so at worst, maybe a re-stocking fee if it doesn't work out.

I have a 10E in a small room with some KEF Q750s for my office. With room correction, it's as smooth as butter.

I wish I lived in the US too)) I live in Uzbekistan, only very few companies ship here, that’s why I chose the Buchardts by the way))

Nevertheless I will for sure consider your suggestion.

Does my room measurements say anything to you?

Give them a try...they will take payment from Uzbekistan if their website is correct, but best to check through their contact page. It's 20.5 kgs / 45 lbs shipping weight. I'm sure there'll be a resale market if you resell them there. This size will be more than ample for your room size and should help round out the low end.

Wow, they ship to my country)) really surprised)) gonna straight jump onto reviews of this sub.))

Sorry for misleading you regarding the room measurements, I meant how do you read the Room Correction Measurements of which I took a screenshot)) I just can’t find anyone who can properly translate that into plain English if my room is sounding well? )

Agree on the RSL sub. I added a 10s mkii to my Wharfdale Denton bookshelves. Made my music come alive.
