Hi Guys,
Finally got Wiim Ultra and AE1 speakers. I’m very happy with this setup!

Only thing is not perfect is that I cannot hear speech on TV as good as on TV speakers. For music it is all perfect. But for TV I need to turn on volume higher than usual to understand what people are speaking in movies.

I did room calibration, for music it improved, but for tv it makes even slightly worse, so turned off eq for tv. And my wife agrees with me.

Maybe can recommend any special eq for tv? Or anything else? If I’m not mistaken, worse situation with women voice.

Tv connected via hdmi arc. It is Sony Bravia android tv KD-65XH9077.

Hi Promso,

You can now set different EQ settings for each input source, such as TV and streaming music, directly via the app. This saves you the hassle of adjusting EQ settings every time you switch sources. Give it a try and let us know your experience - we’d love to hear your feedback!

Yes, this is what i exactly did at once. Amazing and simple experience!😂 just for newbie in audio for me was difficult to understand at first that factory made presets are in Graphic EQ section, but saved room correction eq is in another section Parametric EQ. Maybe would be good idea to find them in any section.

It wouldn't make sense to put saved PEQ filters for room correction in the Graphic EQ section. You can access the saved room correction filters directly from the room correction page.

I meant other wise - factory made graphic eq filters to add to parametric eq selection. As a newbie i want to do room correction, which is something what is done without my know how. But i didn't realised that there is another section with pre-saved graphic eq settings when you jump at once in parametric eq after room correction is done. But anyway, maybe I'm digging here too deep, i just needed to improve my knowledge..

At the moment you can't use graphic EQ at the same time as PEQ anyway. If you try to use graphic EQ you will disable PEQ.

That would be great, at least that you at once would see that there are also option for graphic eq presets.

Maybe you could recommend a special EQ for TV or any other solutions? If I’m not mistaken, the issue is more noticeable with women's voices. Also, I’ve heard that Frontier Communications customer service might offer guidance or suggestions for sound-related issues. Any feedback on their support would be helpful too!

Hello. I'm currently using a Cambridge MXN10 streamer, but I'm considering switching to the Wiim Ultra mainly because it features parametric EQ, which I occasionally need for my room. I also own a DSpeaker X2, which I like but feel it's a bit "flat" for my tastes. Has anyone tried the Wiim Ultra's EQ? How does it sound, does it do a good job with equalization, and is it transparent enough to not distort the sound?

As WiiM device offer a parametric EQ, you can make it sound however you want. You are not limited to a fixed set of "sound profiles" or anything like that. You freely chose the center frequencies, bandwidth and level of up to 10 bands (per channel, if you like).

Regarding the transparency of the PEQ check e.g. this thread:

The findings apply.to the WiiM Ultra as well. Spoiler: Yes, EQ is transparent, pay attention to positive gain and how to use the volume limiter to deal with it.
