Why doesn't favorites stay the same in different devices Wiim app. It's frustrating as I have 3 pros and use different devices to control them. One in the bedroom, one in living room and one in my listening room. It's a pain to carry around the same device. If I have a problem with one device I can't use another one for a Wiim that has the same favorites.

Welcome.

That is strange, as for me the favourites are the same for each wiim on any of the 4 phones/tablets I use.

Really I can't get that to work. This tablet if I save a favorite it only shows on this tablet. The same for other devices only shows in that device. Are you using Android.

Maybe I misunderstood the original post?
To clarify, yes, as @adias says, the favourites are wiim device specific, and "stored" on the wiims themselves.
No matter which phone/tablet you use they should all show the same set of favourites per wiim, but each wiim has its own set.

The description of the issue in the first post doesn't seem to follow that behaviour though. It says that different control devices see different favourites for the same device.

Hi there,

The preset is device-specific and stored locally on your device. Meanwhile, your favorite music from music services is saved in the cloud of those respective services. To view your favorites on the WiiM Home App, you need to link your WiiM devices to your music account by logging in to your music service through the WiiM Home App. This authentication step allows the app to access and display your cloud-stored favorites.

If your issue persists, please submit a ticket from the WiiM Home App. We'll troubleshoot it for you promptly.

IMHO the user should be able to edit/manage Presets. It should provide the ability to replicate Presets from device to device while also allowing different presets in different devices.

Yeah, even if the presets are stored on each device, the app should be able to act as a conduit to transfer them between devices.

I cannot find where to do that. I don't want a group where they all play the same stuff at same. I just linked but it won't let do individual devices. I am confused on linking.

To submitted a ticket. Go to more…/feedback in the WiiM home app.

If you have linked devices, the presets/favourites will correspond to the first device in the group. To unlink devices from a group, click on the chain icon on the group display on the device page, and deselect the devices you wish to remove from the linked group.
